Hello Peeps.... our challenge over at Totally Stampalicious is to make
Anything but a card.

I have made a "Window Treat Box" - here is the tutorial from Splitcoast Stampers resource section. I used "The Coffee Brawd" digi images to make the coffee cup for treat box. I filled the box with coffee beans.

It's the little things that make life BIG

Happy Saturday everyone.. this is a card I made for two challenges on Splitcoast Stampers... Wednesdays sketch challenge SC295 and Thursdays Ways to Use it #WT285 - "picture this" - to use a photo in yard card or project... I love this picture of two of my Grand daughters (Kayla and Nico and Nico's dog Burton). The sentiment is from Stampin Up's "Happy Harmony" set. I coloured the first two words of the stamp with a black marker and stamped onto vellum using the stamp a ma jig for positioning, repeated procedure with "little things" and next "that make life BIG.
I punched out the pink polka dot circles and pierced button holes to make faux buttons. I used acrylic water colour white paper (textured) as black card stock. Sewed all panels and sewed on buttons and flower.

Molly Brown's Red Sun Hat

Hello..... just wanted to share this card I made earlier in the week. It was for Splitcoast Stampers Teapot Tuesday challenge given by Cindy aka "Mothermark". Mothermark has us heading to Denver, Colorado to have tea at the Molly Brown House Museum, the very house that the Unsinkable Molly Brown (Margaret Tobin) lived. Read HERE for the story....

The hat is a sticker that I placed on glossy card stock. Sentiment is from Stampin Up - "Fresh cuts" set.

Stampalicious texture challenge

First of all, I wanted to share this picture of Becky, her son and I. Yesterday I was lucky enough to finally meet Rebeccah Kuhne (Becky) - one of the owners of Totally Stampalicious. She was visiting some of her family in Victoria and was selling TS stamps at the "Western Speedway Swap Meet".

It's time for another Totally Stampalicious challenge... this week we have been challenged to use at least two different textures on our card or projects. You can add textures in many different ways, dry or heat embossing, glitter, fabric, ribbon, cork, flower soft, fun flock, wood - the possibilities are endless.

I made two cards for this challenge - For my first card I used this adorable little girl image from the Totally Stampalicious Bugaboo Line - "Sweet Birthday Kids" set. As you can see I have lots of texture on this card - sewing, embossing, ribbon, textured paper and buttons. I water coloured the little girl image with Tombow Markers.

I combined the first card with a few Splitcoast Stamper challenges. Queen for the Day #QFTD23 (Princessheather), Featured Stamper FS185 (Princessheather), Free 4 all Fridays F4A26 - mix/mash it up - use stamps from differernt stamp sets, Ways to use it WT284 - use Versamark ink and WT284 - use buttons. Here is the adorable card of Heather's that I cased.

For my second card I used "Sean with Flower" from the Totally Stampalicious Bugaboo Line. For texture I have the flower soft grass, sewing and the little flower he is holding has a brad and crystal effects on it. The edges have been distressed and sponged. I coloured this image with prisma colour pencil crayons and gamsol. Sean and the sentiment have been popped up. I used the "Faux Brick Wall" technique for the background panel.

I hope you will join us over at Totally Stampalicious, make sure to check out what the other DT members have come up with to inspire you.

How's everything on your end Mothermark

I'm a little late uploading this fun card... I made it in honour of Cindy aka Mothermark who was crowned Queen for the Day - QFTD22 on Splitcoast Stampers. Here is the fun card of Cindy's that I cased -Bless your little Hiney. Cindy is an amazingly talented lady, with a heart of gold and an incredible imagination for story telling.... As most of us already know - Cindy does love her POLKA dots.
The adorable little horse and sentiment is from Clear Dollar Stamps - Charlie Horse line..

Totally Stampalicious Colour Challenge

It's time for another TOTALLY STAMPALICIOUS Monday challenge - for this week we have a colour challenge - Pink, Black and White. I used this fun "Gus and Stella" image and sentiment - the inside says "Still remains a secret". I water colour the image with Tombow markers, drew in the wall lines and added the lace table cloth and teapot embellishment. I used sketch # SC293 from Splitcoast Stampers. I made the "faux" buttons using the dp and two layers of chip board, pierced holes and sewed onto base card. I scored 1/4" squares on the pink dp behind the image and ran the Regal Rose ink pad overtop.
I hope you will join us over at TOTALLY STAMPALICIOUS, make sure to check out what the other DT have come up with to inspire you.

STAMPALICIOUS ONE LAYER CHALLENGE

It's time for another Totally Stampalicious Monday challenge - (sorry I am late posting this).
We were challenge to make a single layer card - most of us believe this is one of the toughest challenges... I very rarely make a single layered card - I love, love, love lots of layers on my cards.
The card itself must be one layer and you may use one or two small embellishments, such as a ribbon, brad or a flower.
I used the little boy and sentiment from the "Sweet Birthday Kids" set. I dry embossed the rectangle frame using a Nestability die. Stamped the image with Versafine Onyx black ink and clear embossed. Water coloured the image with Stampin Up reinkers and Tombow markers. Sponged on the blue background. Masked the image and stamped the Stampin Up Canvas background in Close to Cocoa. Stamped on the sentiment. Used Martha Stewart scalloped border punch on the bottom edge. Sponged all edges with Close to Cocoa. Attached ribbon and sewed outside edge of card and around image rectangle. Added Crystal Effects to the cherry.
I hope you will join us over at Totally Stampalicous - make sure to check out what the DT have come up with to inspire you.

Crazy Quilted Sisters

Happy Wednesday everyone... I combined three Splitcoast Stamper challenges in my card... Monday's technique challenge #TLC284 - plaid silhouettes, Tuesday's Teapot challenge MMTPT105 and today's sketch challenge SC292.

I made all the plaid backgrounds by using my Mirror image stamp... I inked up the solid stamp with base colours and then used the edges of my different coloured ink pads to make the plaid design. I stamped the little girls (Inkadinkado "Alma Lynne Designs") with versafine onyx black ink and clear embossed image. Water coloured image with Stampin Up reinkers and Tombow markers. I cut out the image and popped it up on the center panel. All edges of base card were stitched.

Totally Stampalicious - Inside and Out

Well I am back safe and sound from a three day motorcycle trip... We had a wonderful time - caught the Coho Ferry from Victoria, B.C. to Port Angeles, Washington U.S.A. Traveled approximately 750 km's round trip...

Over at the Totally Stampalicious Blog - this weeks challenge is to decorate the inside of you card as well as the outside... This fun image and sentiment is called "Morning Margaret" a digital Bugaboo image turned into rubber. If you want the digi go to the Bugaboo Stamps Store.

For my layout I used last weeks Splitcoast Stampers sketch challenge SC291 and my card also qualifies for Splitcoast Stampers Free for all challenge F4A23 - side swiped to decorate the sides of your card, 1 side, 2 or three sides...
